I am simply thrilled that you have found my little corner of the world!
I am based out of Saint Louis, MO but travel does a heart good & I would love to shoot your destination wedding or elopement. When I get the chance to explore my suitcase rarely gets unpacked so I am ready & waiting! 🙂
My name is Heather but I prefer to be called Cash which was my last name before marrying into the Murray family 11 years ago. Yes it is legally on my birth certificate & no I am not related to Johnny Cash! haha 🙂 If you truly prefer to call me by my first name that’s fine too! I am a follower of Christ, the oldest of 3 siblings, wifey, momma to 3 amazing kids & 1 daughter by marriage, photographer, 13.1 mile runner, cake artist with a Master’s in Social Work (MSW).
My “I do’s” were exchanged 11 years ago on a cold day in February in a small church to my love, Andrew, who happens to be from Manchester, Jamaica.
Chocolate + Vanilla = Mr. & Mrs. Murray fi life!
876 is the country code of Jamaica where my heart resides! At times I speak Jamaican Patwa so you might just hear it! There is a lot of truth in the phrase “Home is where the heart is” but being born & raised in STL I do love my cardinals! 876 Studios is my business name because I love our island in the sun & everything it stands for “Out of many, One People.”
I believe in traveling to far away places, hospitality, laughter, honesty, respecting others, capturing moments in time, & embracing the beauty of diversity. I love nyaming pineapples until my belly is full, climbing waterfalls, rocking strains of hair in my signature shade of teal & whipping up the best sugar art you have ever tasted. Seriously you can’t have chocolate without vanilla!
The best thing that has ever happened to me is Jesus! He sustains me, loves me when it’s the hardest to do so, never leaves my side, blessed me with the ability to do what I do & pours out his forgiveness on me daily even when I least deserve it! My husband & children steal my heart daily. Our family loves going to the movies, swimming, working in the garden, having experiences instead of things & just being together. No one leaves the house or rarely gets in the house without a hug & kiss! Sunday dinner is pretty special in our house & is open to all who want to pass through. September 2015 was very special because my husband got to take the oath of citizenship & we dressed the part to celebrate! It was such a fabulous day! It has been a blast documenting the lives of these four amazing people that I get to do life with every day!
It is such an honor to be considered and even more so chosen to document your special moments to be cherished long after the time has gone. So many people have a camera & it is not a requirement to have any formal training before booking clients. I have had a camera in hand since I was young but have also spent over a year interning for a local photographer to make sure that I am fully knowledgeable on how to properly capture your wedding day & other important moments. I have also second shot for several local photographers along with booking my own couples & families. I am proud of all the growth I have experienced, everything I have learned, continue to learn & I am confident in my ability to deliver wonderful images & a splendid experience.
Thank you for stopping by & considering me as the photographer to capture your wedding day, special events, & milestones in life!
All the best,
